Daily News - 24th May 2011 - Duke Nukem, Ghost Recon and PSN

Duke Nukem Goes Gold!

Yep, they're probably printing the discs as we speak. Gearbox President Randy Pitchford had the following emotional words to say:

"Always bet on Duke, I did. I bet on all of the developers who have ever been a part of this legendary project and I bet that none of us want to live in a world without the Duke."

Brings a tear to your eye. If you're hard as fuck, ofcourse

I can't wait to throw poo in all their faces!PSN Undergoes Maintenance But Doesn't Bring Store Back Online.

The only reason this is really surprising is that Sony told developers last week that the store would probably be up this week. Grantedm they didn't say it definitely would be but still, why fill devs with false hope? It's a noodle scratcher. Whatever happens they've said that full services will have been returned by the end of the month. Just in time for E3.....

No Pixeljunk for you!

Want A Free Ghost Recon Game? Because You're Getting One.

Ubisoft announced today that before the end of the year you will be able to download and play Ghost Recon: Online for free. The game will obviously have a focus on multiplayer and will contain optional things to buy, probably just to spruce up your character like other Free-To-Play games. Expect a Beta soon, and if you want in on that, go to the game's official website.

Wait, is that a sniper? In a video game?!?

And Finally...

I wrote an article today about why Brink is a massive pile of wank and why you should never play it. I lost a portion of my soul to Brink, don't let the same happen to you!

Why I Hated... Brink
